Father Luis Alberto Perez, Pastor  of San Pablo Catholic Church.  Father celebrated his first Mass at San Pablo on June 17, 2018.
After his ordination in 1995 as a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami, Father Perez served at Holy Family Parish in North Miami, San Isidro in Pompano Beach, and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and
School in South Miami.  He was the Pastor of Holy Rosary for nine years.  Father was also the pastor of St. Maximillian Kolbe in Pembroke Pines.  In 2013, he received an invitation to serve in Cuba in the Diocese of Holguin for one year and for one year in the diocese of Santa Clara where he was born.  In December 2015, Father became a chaplain for the Catholic Health Services North Campus.
Father was twelve years old when he arrived in the United States with his mother.  As part of the US government relocation program for Cuban refugees, Father and his mother were relocated to Bridgeport, CT. Father worked as a paper boy and his mother cleaned offices.
Father and his mother moved to Hialeah in 1973 where he attended high school and Miami Dade College.  Encounters with God's grace and with others' compassion and support are what Father believes brought him to his vocation as a priest. "I am where I am today, after 23 faithful years as a Catholic priest, for the glory of God and in service to God's people through the Church."
